I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. – John 4:35
St. Petersburg is a vibrant and diverse city that has experienced an almost 20% population growth in the past three years alone. Recently named by Forbes magazine as one of the top ten areas that Americans are moving to, St. Pete has seen an influx of young families, causing the median age of the city to drop from 55 to 42 over the past decade. Despite the beaches and sunshine, St. Pete has one of the highest rates of anti-depressant use in the nation as well as one of the highest unchurched populations.
As the city is growing, so does the need for churches, particularly in the already underserved downtown districts where the population is growing the fastest.
As we have walked through the neighborhoods, played in the parks with our son and strolled the streets of downtown, God continually brings us back to John 4:35. Our hearts are on fire for this city and we are so excited to be planting Liberty Church St. Pete in September 2017 and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
We have been a part of Liberty Church in NYC for the past five years, serving in many different capacities on a variety of ministry teams. Under the leadership and guidance of our lead pastors, Paul and Andi Andrew, our God-given dream of someday planting a church began to grow and flourish.
Having served on the leadership team that helped launch Liberty Church Brooklyn in 2013, we are now so excited to bring the global vision of Liberty Church to St. Pete, the city where Bryan was born and raised.
St. Pete is a city on the rise and we believe that God has called us here for such a time as this.
We know that we can’t do this alone and we are asking if you would prayerfully consider partnering with us as we build Liberty Church St. Pete. It takes resource to reach people. God has called each one of us to live generously with open hands and open hearts.
Would you consider partnering with us to build a community that reaches the city of St. Petersburg and beyond? A community where everyONE matters. A place where everyone can feel welcomed and valued no matter where they are on their faith journey. A community committed to seeing lives, families and entire cities transformed through the hope of the Gospel.
This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God. 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 MSG
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
