At Liberty Church it is our hope that you follow Jesus, thrive in community, and make a difference. We believe one of the best ways to thrive in community is by joining a Community Group. Community Groups are once a week gathering that take place throughout the city and range in topic from book studies, to social groups, to groups dedicated to helping you find freedom in different areas of your life.
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

In partnership with Liberty City, our sister organization, and non-profit that focuses on anti-human trafficking, mass incarceration, youth and education, we are hosting a screening of the documentary, 13th, by Ava DuVernay. This thought-provoking film features scholars, activists and politicians who discuss and examine the criminalization of African Americans, and the U.S. prion boom. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion of those who are directly affected by mass incarceration, and those who are advocating and working for change at an individual, community and policy level.
This event is free, and the purchase of food and drinks is optional for every attendee, at the Alamo Drafthouse in Downtown Brooklyn. This location is easily accessible, with access from the 2/3, 4/5, F and G trains.
Join us for church in the morning, and come out for the screening at 2pm. You’ll even have time to make it to our 6pm service, after the screening. You will be challenged, informed, and encouraged to take action in your sphere of influence.
